Player Ratings: Manchester United 3-3 Everton

Manchester United 3-3 Everton | Premier League | Player Ratings

David de Gea: 3

A comedy of errors led to what feels like a loss for Manchester United and De Gea played a huge role. For Everton’s first he parried the ball back into the danger zone and for the last minute, Everton simply didn’t dominate his area. Everton had three attempts on goal, all three were goals.

Defence

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 6

Another decent performance from Wan-Bissaka following on from his stellar showing vs Southampton. However, his naivety showed in the final minutes as he gave the ball away needlessly which called on the Tuanzebe tackle.

Victor Lindelof: 4

A non-existent performance at the back. It honestly felt at times he wasn’t even there. For Everton’s first he was caught out of position leading to a foot race with Harry Maguire.

Harry Maguire: 3

The captain’s personal performance didn’t fill anyone with any of the back four with confidence. The foot race with Calvert Lewin he can’t necessarily be blamed for but he failed to put the striker off. His leadership also has to be brought into question, he needed to instil a game wit to the team.

Luke Shaw: 7

The outstanding defender on the night. Was assured on the ball and calm under pressure. His great form continues.

Midfielder

Paul Pogba: 5

Came off half way the the second half due to a thigh injury.

Scott McTominay: 7

Another solid game from the Scottish international. His header put Manchester United in the lead for what should’ve been the winner but was ultimately let down by poor defending.

Bruno Fernandes: 8

Speaking of being let down, nobody was more disappointed with the defensive performance than Bruno. The Portuguese’s goal was one to last for the ages. A beautiful strike from 25 yards out into the top corner. The jubilation of that goal was stolen by defensive blunders.

Attack

Mason Greenwood: 7

Greenwood without getting on the scoresheet or getting an assist was superb. He looked after the ball well, progressed play and was ready to switch play also at times.

Marcus Rashford: 7

Rashford got himself an assist for the opener with an inch-perfect cross for Edinson Cavani. Following that his performance was slightly underwhelming but he was still a threat for 90 minutes.

Edinson Cavani: 7

Another Old Trafford goal for the Uruguayan who plays like he is years his junior. Bundles of energy and movement and class with the headed finish.

Substitutes

Fred: 5
