David Brooks 40 Million Price Tag Set

David Brooks Manchester United Price Tag set

Manchester United’s interest in David Brooks was recently reported to be serious by Sports Witness, however a deal might be put off due to Bournemouth’s £40 million valuation they have placed on the Welshman.

Brooks was seen by United as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho, who Dortmund are still refusing to lower their £108 million price tag on. Brooks has massively impressed since making his premier league debut, making 39 appearances and scoring 8 goals, despite an injury problem that kept him out for most of last season.

Manchester United had hoped to get a cut-price deal, following Bournemouth’s relegation, but the South Coast club have valued the 23-year-old at £40 million pounds. Bournemouth also managed to get £40 million for their other star player, Nathan Ake, who signed for Manchester City.

Brooks, despite playing in Manchester City’s academy, was a boyhood United supporter and is reportedly ‘desperate’ to stay in the Premier League.

Many Manchester United fans have taken to social media to express their opinions on the possibility of signing David Brooks, with some fans comparing him to fellow Welshman, Dan James, who signed for United under the guidance of Ryan Giggs, but has gone on to have a disappointing first season.

It is yet to emerge whether United will make a bid for Brooks, who despite the hefty price tag is a much cheaper option than Sancho and is also a very promising young footballer, who already has bags of Premier League experience.
