The start of another week of the transfer window. After hearing directly from the horse’s mouth, that horse being the CEO of the club, Richard Arnold, fans will be coming into the new week with a feeling of optimism. Arnold’s words, however controversially acquired have gone a long way in providing some much-needed clarity.
As long as Arnold’s words were truthful, United can look forward to an interesting transfer window.

The Reds are reportedly closing in on a £40m deal to sign Antony. The Sun report United officials will be in Amsterdam tomorrow to hash out a deal for the Brazilian.
Erik ten Hag wants the 22-year-old to help spearhead the attack as he looks to rebuild the club.

Christian Eriksen could be destined for a move to Old Trafford after United have made it known to his agents that he is of interest as per Fabrizio Romano.
Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly put their focus elsewhere with the Dane taking time off to make a decision. It was previously believed that a desire to stay in London could throw a spanner in United’s works. Eriksen was said to now be open to leaving London due to the offers he has on the table. However, Jamie Jackson of the Guardian suggests Eriksen would favour Spurs or Brentford.
United are one of the said offers along with Leicester, Everton and Ajax being in the race according to Alasdair Gold.

There have been slight whispers as David Raum rumours slowly caught fire. The 24-year-old left-back has reportedly been holding talks with United according to Florian Plettenberg. According to the Sky Journalist, a fee of €30-35m could see United wrap up the deal.
Plettenberg’s tweet does also however hint at Borussia Dortmund also showing interest in the German.

After having their first bid rejected, United are preparing a second offer to Barcelona for De Jong. Fabrizio Romano said United’s earlier bid amounted to €60m + €10 in addons. Jamie Jackson reports that €70m plus addons will be the new bid. Jackson also reports that De Jong signing for United is a case of ‘when not if’.

Both Brandon Williams and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are reportedly free to go according to various reports. On the part of Wan-Bissaka, the right-back is prepared to fight for his place but ultimately wants game time.
The club has reportedly told the duo that if the correct bid comes in they will not stand in their way. While both players have potential suitors, nothing official has been submitted.
