While Manchester United are yet to still complete a deal, it finally seems like the wheels are in motion.

Antony is reportedly relishing the idea of moving to United according to Dutch reports. Last night it was reported by the Sun that United were looking to open talks for the Brazilian. Today, AD suggests the Reds are close to preparing an offer for the 22-year-old’s services.

GOAL Espana adds to the story explaining that United are pushing for the deal and quote a fee of £51.4m to complete the deal. Paul Hirst from the Times suggests Ajax are reportedly hoping to resist a £40m opening bid for Antony from United.

According to the MEN, Anthony Martial could likely stay at United due to a lack of suitors. Martial, who will return to Carrington next week, could be stuck at the club as “nobody is breaking the door down” to sign him.

However, the Telegraph ran a story saying United’s hierarchy hope that offloading the Frenchman and his £200,000 weekly wage will make way for quality additions.

Lisandro Martinez is high on Erik Ten Hag’s transfer list

AD also stated that Ten Hag is keen on bringing Lisandro Martinez to Old Trafford. Martinez is seen as the more favourable option as opposed to previously linked Pau Torres.

The Mirror report that United’s new manager will have a decision to make between both Martinez and Antony. The conundrum has arisen as Ajax are reluctant to allow the bulk of their squad to depart ahead of the new season.
