Man Utd Transfer News Round-up: Jurrien Timber likely to stay at Ajax
Underwhelming is the word to describe Manchester United’s summer business so far with, news coming in at a pedestrian pace.
Here are all of United’s transfer updates from Tuesday 15th June:
Jurrien Timber leaning closer to staying at Ajax

Louis van Gaal alluded to the fact that the 20-year-old needed to play football to bolster his chances of going to the World Cup. His words were a sly dig at United’s interest in the Dutchman as current options cant guarantee Timber first-team football. Staying in Amsterdam would provide him with some continuity.
Although the flames of the deal seem to be dwindling, Verweij did stress that Timber will use his break to think about his future which is up in the air at present.
United set to be priced out of Antony deal

However, despite Ten Hag’s high esteem of Antony’s talent, the fee Ajax would demand could prove too lofty for United.
We all know United are hoping not to be bullied by clubs in terms of spending, losing out on the 22-year-old might just be a symptom of that.
Nottingham Forest keen on Dean Henderson loan

At 25 years old, Henderson can’t afford to have another season like the last, whether that be at United or elsewhere. Nottingham Forest have emerged as a possible destination for the Englishman. A move to the City Ground will see him move on a potential one-year loan with the option to buy around £20m according to Fabrizio Romano.
According to the Telegraph, Forest do however have concerns about losing one of two permissible loans at the beginning of the window.
United face battle for Vitinha’s signature

Andreas Pereira could be sold

Pereira was on loan at Flamengo last season but is set to return to United as the Brazilian club has no intention to pay the €10.5m release clause.
