Manchester United sign Exciting 15-year-old Norweigian Wonderkid
Manchester United are reportedly set to confirm the signing of Isak Hansen-Aaroen. The Norwegian is poised to start the academy season with Manchester United, according to the MEN, after Tromoso confirmed he has left the club. So, the question on everybody’s lips is ‘who is he?’
The Norwegian turns 16 on August 22nd, and a deal for the rising star was made in 2019, when he was just 14, with Aiden Barlow going to Tromoso on loan in exchange. He plays as an attacking midfielder or a forward and is highly regarded in Norway and has already made 10 appearances for Norway’s U15s and U16s respectively. The youngster has already made his senior debut for Tromoso, coming on in the closing stages of a comfortable 2-0 victory to become the youngest debutant in the club’s history at 15 years and 319 days. Both Merseyside clubs, Liverpool and Everton were also interested but Hansen-Aaroen turned them down in favour of United. Tromoso’s assistant manager has confirmed that Hansen-Aaroen is no longer their player and will go on holiday before flying to Manchester. Hansen-Aaroen is expected to join up with the U18 squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Tromoso’s director of football was excited by the link between the two clubs, saying ‘We think this is very exciting because we cooperate with a big club and we have already developed a good cooperation, This could be the start of a long-term collaboration that can give us a lot. We already have a very good dialogue.’ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s position as manager strengthens the relationship between the two clubs, because of his status in Norway and whilst it might seem unimportant to have a good link between the two clubs, United could use it as a way of loaning young players to Tromoso to gain more experience.
Whilst it will be a long while before we see Isak Hansen-Aaroen wearing the red jersey in the first team, it is an exciting signing to bring such a fresh young talent into the club and it will be very interesting to see how the Norwegian develops at United.
