Manchester United welcome Brighton in their first league game at Old Trafford since the 1-1 draw with Liverpool a month ago.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team sit in mid-table going into this Premier League weekend but after showing some promise against Partizan in midweek, fams will be hoping to get their season back on track.

After picking up a knock midweek, Scott McTominay is a doubt for the weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that the midfielder “went over on his ankle” and it didn’t look great. If McTominay misses the game on the weekend, it will be a massive blow for us, not only are we thin in midfield, Scott Has been one of our most consistent performers this season.

Harry Maguire seemed to also be carrying a knock but he should be good for the weekend. Ashley Young is suspended for the visit from the seagulls after picking up a 5th yellow card against Bournemouth. Brandon Williams who was rested against Partizan on Thursday will likely replace the club captain.

Brighton Hove Albion have had a relatively good start to the season after surprisingly parting ways with former boss Chris Hughton. Graham Potter has changed the style of play down at the Amex Stadium, advocating for a more possession-based, front-foot style as opposed to the defensive shape under previous management.m

The Seagulls’ new style has put them in 8th, 2 points above ourselves. Graham Potter’s team has picked up some emphatic wins, more notably a 3-0 whitewash against Tottenham Hotspur. On that day, key man Aaron Connolly stole the show with a brace.

Key Stats: Manchester United vs Brighton

  • Manchester United are unbeaten in 11 home games in all comps against Brighton (W9 D2).
  • Manchester United have won all 4 of the Premier League home games against Brighton.
  • Marcus Rashford has scored the most winning goals in the Premier League this season.

Manchester United need to start getting wins on the board in the league. Our position is unacceptable at this stage and getting wins against Partizan means nothing if we don’t win this weekend.
