Manchester United currently find themselves fourth in the Premier League, two points behind Everton and Leicester, with a game in hand over The Toffees, and two over The Foxes, as well as being five points away from leaders Liverpool, again with a game in hand.

At the start of the season, most United fans would have taken the current situation.

However, following a somewhat disappointing 2-2 draw away to Leicester, Tuesday’s fixture against Wolves feels like a must win match for The Reds.

The home form of United this season has been underwhelming, winning just two of their seven matches at Old Trafford so far, making the clash against Wolves a potential tough ask for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

How do Manchester United Look?

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was absent from the Leicester clash, after he picked up a knock in the 6-2 victory over Leeds United, but is expected to make it in the squad for the Wolves match.

“Aaron trained with the boys. We didn’t do a lot because there was snow and it was just about preparation training anyway. If there’s no reaction he should be available” said boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Victor Lindelöf covered for Wan-Bissaka at right back at the weekend, but he was also injured playing in that position, and did not train on Monday, so is unexpected to be available for the clash against Wolves, meaning that Eric Bailly is likely to start alongside Harry Maguire at centre half on Tuesday.

With the game coming so close the previous match, some rotation by Solskjaer will be seen, with Mason Greenwood, Alex Telles and Donny Van de Beek all likely to be hoping for a start in this one.

Following their promotion from the Championship a few seasons ago, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have become an established member of the top half of the Premier League.

Since Wolves’ return to the top flight, United have not beaten them in the league, drawing three and losing one of the four fixtures, making Tuesday’s away side somewhat of a bogey team for The Reds.

They currently sit eleventh this season, with star striker Raul Jiménez missing much of the campaign, due to a nasty head injury picked up against Arsenal.

Jimenez’s absence has been abundantly clear; Wolves have scored just fifteen league goals this season, the joint least out of any side outside of the bottom four, showing their over-reliance on the Mexican.

Bruno Fernandes has undoubtedly been the star of 2020 for both Manchester United, and the Premier League this season. He has registered 42 goals and assists in the calendar year, the same as Lionel Messi.
