Match Preview: West Ham vs Manchester United

West Ham United vs Manchester United | Premier League | London Stadium | KO: 17:30 GMT | Sky Sports
After their somewhat undeserved 3-1 defeat against Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United face West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday evening, in the first match of the season that either side will have played in front of fans.
Two thousand home supporters will be permitted into the London Stadium, due to the stadium being in a tier 2 zone, a welcome addition to the season for many.
The hosts sit fifth in the league, but if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side beat them, they will overtake The Hammers, and finally start looking like the top six side that they are.
What Do Manchester United Look Like?

Marcus Rashford was withdrawn from the PSG match early, with a shoulder injury, and is a doubt for the weekend’s clash.
“Marcus has been training this morning, not fully, but he’s joined in with the group” said Solskjaer.

Luke Shaw and Phil Jones both remain side lined, with the latter not expected to be fit again before the turn of the year.
Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly were part of the matchday squad against PSG, following their returns from self-isolation and injury, but played no part in the match.

The Frenchman has put together and uninspiring run of performances this season, and missed a virtual open goal chance in the midweek Champions League match.
Solskjaer seems determined to play him through the bad form, but Martial’s head seems to have dropped, and it may be time to give him a few weeks off to clear his mind, and allow the likes of Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani to start more matches.
Opposition: West Ham
Embed from Getty ImagesManaged by former Manchester United boss David Moyes, West Ham United have enjoyed an impressive start to the 2020/21 season, winning five of their opening ten league fixtures, in a campaign that many backed them to be in a relegation fight.
The last three matches have seen The Hammers pick up maximum points, beating Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Fulham.
They have recently drawn to both Manchester City and Tottenham, showing they’ve got what it takes to compete with the ‘big boys’ of the league.
Key Stats
Manchester United have won each of their last eight Premier League away matches.
David Moyes has won just four times in 28 attempts against his former club, drawing 7 and losing the other 17.
Prediction
West Ham United 1-3 Manchester United. Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Edinson Cavani (2).
