With only one win in their last five Premier League games, Manchester United travel to Wolves to close off what many would deem a positive season at Old Trafford.

United’s superb away record will be put to the test however with fans returning to the Molineux.

How do Manchester United?

United still have the small matter of a European final to play in under a week. With Villareal bringing their season to a close on Saturday, the Reds’ trip to Wolves means a day less of rest.

While there is still time for rest between the Wolves game and the final in Gdansk, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could make a couple changes to the line up.

Solskjaer hinted at the prospect of Hannibal Mejbri making his first-team debut as well as Shola Shoretire appearing also. The Norwegian said: “Both of them. Hannibal and Shola, both of them will be involved. Maybe we can get some minutes in them.”

In terms of injury news, Harry Maguire’s chances of featuring again for United are dwindling. Solskjaer is not expecting the centre-back to be fit, despite him appearing to be walking without a brace and crutches in the week.

Daniel James is set to be involved, but hopes of Anthony Martial’s return were shattered with the forward missing out on France’s Euro 2020 squad.

Winds of change await the Wolves of Wolverhampton as manager Nino Espírito Santo is set to leave at the end of the season.

After four years at the club including promotion to and steadying the ship in the Premier League, both Nuno and Wolves mutually agreed to part ways. The exact reasons are unknown but there is no doubt, judging by Wolves’ recent seasons, they seemed to have regressed this term.

United’s final day opponents sit in 12th place only six points above 17th in the league. Despite their misfortunes, this season, with fans returning to the Molineux, fans and players alike will be up for giving Nuno the send-off he deserves.
