Match Review : Manchester United VS Leicester City
Manchester United take the three points against Leicester as Marcus Rashford’s 8th minute penalty is the difference.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men took the lead early on after a dominant start to the game. The rampant start to the game was rewarded with a moment of madness from Soyuncu to take Marcus Rashford down in the box. After taking the lead Manchester United seemed to allow Leicester to have the ball. Fortunately for United, Brendan Rogers’ side failed to create a clear cut chance for the remainder of the half.
The second half began in a similar fashion to how the first ended. James Maddison was still getting on the ball and tried to exploit Nemanja Matic’s lack of playing time this season. However, the Serb held his own before being substituted for Fred.

Reds worldwide called for Solskjaer to play the youth and after Chong’s performance today, will continue to do so. Both Fred and Chong looked to make things happen. One of Chong’s more notable contribution was a quick one-two with Rashford that resulted in an Andreas Pereira shot from distance.

Today, the positives lie in the result. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his post match interviews did say that “we had to hang in there” in there in the end which we did but we defended brilliantly and deserved the three points. Massive props to Ole for this result, hopefully we can now get some consistency going forward.
