Player Ratings: Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United

Arsenal 0-0 Manchester United | Premier League | Player Ratings

David de Gea: 6

Largely had very little to actively save during the game as Arsenal’s opportunities were limited to “keeper-friendly” shots and shots wide of the goal.

Defence

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 7

Wan-Bissaka was United’s brightest player without a doubt. His first half was more positive than the second as he made the right flank his own. Wan-Bissaka also found himself in the opposition box on a number of occasions and pressed extremely high.

Victor Lindelöf: 6

Solid game from the Swede, not much to shout home about. Lindelof was constantly looking for the ball in behind for Rashford to run into which was a positive.

Harry Maguire: 6

Maguire had a similar night to Lindelof as the two were quite secure at the back.

Luke Shaw: 7

Shaw’s positive form continued as once again the full-back was up down the left flank. Although Nicolas Pepe caused Shaw some problems early on, the left l-back quickly got the measure of Pepe and kept him quiet in the second half.

Midfield

Scott McTominay: 5

McTominay was substituted in the first half due to some issues with the midfielders stomach.

Fred: 6

Fred passing was extremely poor as well as some of the decisions he made while on the ball. Under Arsenal’s press, he turned over possession a few times. However, his recoveries were important.

Bruno Fernandes: 5

A quiet night for Fernandes, when he was on the ball he didn’t affect the game as much as we have been used to seeing for the past year.

Paul Pogba: 5

Pogba’s performance was one that was almost identical to Fernandes. Pogba looked bright in spells but overall didn’t have that X factor on the night to impact proceedings.

Attack

Marcus Rashford: 3

Nothing came off for Manchester United’s number 10. There was a lack of quality but on top of that Rashford seemed to lack the grit in his performance that we’ve grown accustomed to seeing. A disappointing night for Rashford.

Edinson Cavani: 5

Cavani didn’t get a lot of the ball for the majority of the game however usually someone of the Uruguayan pedigree you’d him to remain unfazed by lonely spells upfront. Cavani missed two opportunities to win the game for United, two chances he really should’ve taken.

Substitutes

Anthony Martial: 6

Martial was introduced for the injured Scott McTominay. The Frenchman got involved in some intricate play on the left-hand side but had no opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net.

Mason Greenwood: 6
