Player Ratings : Chelsea VS Manchester United
Sergio Romero: 6
I don’t even think Romero broke a sweat today.
Defence
Aaron Wan Bissaka: 7
Another top class performance from Aaron Wan Bissaka. At this point, I can just pre set his match rating to above average. Absolute steal at 50 million in my opinion.
Victor Lindelof: 6
Comfortable on the ball and drove into midfield to make things happen. He wasn’t outstanding but I felt he wasn’t to blame for Batshuayi’s goal. Average rating for the iceman.
Harry Maguire: 5
Harry Maguire started the game brightly and all in all had a decent game at the centre of the back three. For large portions of the game he dominated in the air. However, the one time he was beaten he was well and truly beaten which led to Batshuayi’s goal.
Marcos Rojo:6
Although not entirely to blame for Chelsea’s goal I think he could have done better to stop Batshuayi’s shot. What I did see from Rojo is what you get with him. Pure grit and determination.
Brandon Williams: 8
Williams deserves commendation for going one on one with Hudson-Odoi, one of the finest dribblers in the league. For me Williams’ game was summed up by him throwing Hudson-Odoi into the stands. A real left back local lad that’s up for it. I am enjoying seeing him get minutes.
Midfield
Fred: 6
Not the greatest game from Fred, I feel he let some of his bad habits creep back in but there was a lot of energy in his performance and e won so I’ll let him off.
Scott McTominay: 8
Consistentcy and confidence, two words that sum up McTominay in a Manchester United shirt at the moment. Another excellent performance from the academy graduate.
Jesse Lingard: 5
Another game that has passed by Jesse Lingard. He failed to impact the game in any sort of way and he was eventually subbed off for Andreas Pereira, who seems to have overtaken him in the pecking order. The way I see it if Lingard doesn’t buck up his ideas, his future is in real doubt.
Attack
Daniel James: 7
One thing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has got right this season is that Our attacking players will attract fouls high will lead to more penalties. James embodies that. A direct run saw him get taken down in the box for the penalty. He faded in the second half due to the hard graft in the second.
Marcus Rashford: 10
10 for the goal alone. That is all.
Substitutes
Ashley Young: 6
Andreas Pereira: 6
Anthony Martial: 6
