Player Ratings : Everton vs Manchester United

Everton 1 v Manchester United 1
David De Gea: 5
After the first three minutes of this game, De Gea kept his side in the game. He made a number of great saves to stop Everton scoring, however, in the first three minutes, the Spaniard made one of the worst errors a goalkeeper can make and unfortunately cost his side the win.

Aaron Wan Bissaka: 6
The right-back had a decent first half getting forward and providing crosses for the strikers to latch on to. A painful second half of football led to this output being reduced and ultimately Aaron couldn’t get a foothold in the game.
Victor Lindelof: 4
The ghosts of Goodison nearly haunted him again when an early challenge on Richarlison nearly caused him trouble. The flashbacks of the blues beating him for pace however still remained as he was persistently outrun by the Everton forwards.
Harry Maguire: 8
A contrasting performance to his fellow centre half. Maguire was dominant in the air from corners and seemed solid at the back despite Lindelof seeming nervy.

It seems a common theme of the past few games that Shaw comes out being one of the best players on the pitch. He was probably United’s most energetic player in the first half but was unfortunately pegged back in the second when Everton changed their shape.
Midfield
Nemanja Matic: 7
Matic was United’s canon in this game as he fired a range of long shots throughout the first half, with pretty much every single one of them testing Jordan Pickford in the sticks. He sat at the back of the diamond and help control the midfield.
Scott McTominay 6
Unfortunately, Scott had little to no impact on this game. He looked lively at times, but it was clear he was lacking match fitness. He tired towards the end and was ultimately brought off the pitch.
Fred: 6
Held his position well all game, but still struggled to gain a significant foothold in the midfield like he has in previous games.
Bruno Fernandes: 8
Like Shaw, it seems to be a common theme that Fernandes is outperforming every other Red on the pitch. He scored his first goal from open play with very little back lift and dominated the number 10 role in the first half. The second half changed aspects of his game as Everton changed shape, which limited his output.

Mason Greenwood: 5
The teenager was anonymous at times for United and very rarely had a chance in the game. He headed over a glorious chance in the first half that perhaps he should have scored.

You never know which Martial is going to turn up at match day and unfortunately, we got the slow lethargic and just quite lazy one in the game at Goodison. It’s the first time he hasn’t scored in the last three games, and quite frankly he didn’t deserve one either.
Substitutes:
Odion Ighalo: 6 – Nearly got the winner, still undefeated when he’s featured.
Juan Mata: 5 – Struggled.
Brandon Williams: 5 – Came on too late to justify anything higher.
