Manchester United 0-5 Liverpool | Premier League

Manchester United’s woeful form continues as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are thrashed at home by rivals Liverpool.

Here’s how each player performed with a rating out of 10:

David de Gea: 5

An ironic rating after conceding five but De Gea was by no means to blame for United’s woes. Once again the Spaniard comes away from, a dismal United display as the brightest performer.

Defence

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 3

The right-back was to blame for the opening of the floodgates, his reckless decisions when pressing left the gaps for Liverpool to easily pick off passes. Following his early mistake, he was steady but still to blame for the result.

Victor Lindelöf: 3

Positionally both centre backs left a lot to be desired, the Swede was dragged out of position leaving the Reds vulnerable at the back.

Harry Maguire: 2

An awful display from United’s captain. Maguire as a leader one thing we should all rely upon is his conviction and ability to rally his side in the face of adversity, which was lacking, unfortunately.

Luke Shaw: 2

Similar to Maguire the left-back hasn’t looked right all season. He’s seemed sluggish and lacking in focus. His lapses in concentration played a big part in United’s loss.

Midfield

Scott McTominay: 2

A passenger for large parts of the game refused to show for the ball and in turn threw his teammates under the bus.

Fred: 2

The Brazilian displayed a lack of quality in his passing, a common description of the midfielder’s performances this season.

Bruno Fernandes: 3

Bruno Fernandes had the opportunity to put United ahead minutes before Liverpool took the lead. It’s that clinical nature that is needed at this level. When you don’t take your chances you’re usually punished and United were.

Attack

Mason Greenwood: 2

Failed to show up today, a touch greedy at times also.

Cristiano Ronaldo: 4

Were some glimpses of quality, notably his goal that was struck offside just showed what he could love done given more quality possession but unfortunately he fell victim to the team’s poor performance.

Marcus Rashford: 4

You could tell that this fixture meant a lot to the forward. Individually he tried things but it just wasn’t enough.

Substitutes

*Paul Pogba: n/a

Edinson Cavani: 4

Diogo Dalot: 3
