Manchester United beaten Everton 2-0 at Old Trafford. This means Manchester United have won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time since February following their 1-0 win over Brentford on Wednesday. With more and more important games coming up this April the last two results mean United are building momentum as the most important phase of the season starts up.

Here’s a rundown on how the players performed with each player receiving a rating out of 10.

Goalkeeper and Defence

David de Gea: 7.5

Another improved performance from De Gea. While he didn’t have much to do saves wise his distribution stepped up and he probably should’ve gotten an assist. With the clean sheet De now moves to joint top of the Golden Glove race.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 7

Wan Bissaka continues his improved performances this season. Was a lot more fluid in attack and solid defensively, allowing United to maintain possession and run attacks down both sides of the pitch.

Harry Maguire: 7

One of Maguire’s best performances this season. He was much more confident and sure of himself with direct passing and getting stuck in defensivley

Lisandro Martinez: 7.5

The Argentine is probably United’s most consistent player this season and solid performances like this demonstrate why. As great as he is defensively, his ability on the ball is a huge assest for Manchester United.

Tyrell Malacia: 7

Malacia filled in for Shaw quite well today, while he was a bit rash and some of his technically ability was lacking, his energy was well needed and like the rest of the defensive he didn’t do much wrong.

Marcel Sabitzer: 7.5

Like the game against Brentford Sabitzer played much higher up the pitch and was a constant threat. Did well to find Fernandes for a good chance.

Scott McTominay: 7.5

Took his goal very well today as his performances post the international break continues to improve. Some of his passing lacked quality but overall, a decent performance.

Bruno Fernandes: 7.5

Bruno played a deeper role agai  today and was able to be much more of a dictator, helped United dominate possession and start to create chances.

Antony: 6

Antony provided an outlet out wide but missed too many chances. Despite playing a decent match he was unable to make a real impact on the game before he was subbed off.

Marcus Rashford: 6.5

Did well to assist Martial for United’s second goal and provided a constant threat as he attacked space and ran at defenders. His finishing was poor however and he should’ve netted at least one of his chances.

Jadon Sancho: 7

Found McTominay with a very nice through ball for his assist, was lively on the wing and when he cut inside but United still need him to play with a little more confidence.

Anthony Martial: 7

Christian Eriksen: 6

Fred: N/A

Wout Weghorst: N/A
