Player Ratings : Manchester United VS FK Partizan

Sergio Romero: 6

Sergio Romero is yet to concede in the Europa League this season and if games pan out the same way, his goal will remain untested.

Defence

Aaron Wan Bissaka: 6

Partizan Belgrade had no shots on target. A stat that should shed some light on the story of the game. Offensively they had nothing to offer and as a result, the defence was comfortable.

Harry Maguire: 6

Harry Maguire also had a relaxed game. He looked to go down with an Achilles injury in the second half but he ran that off. If there was anything in that injury, hopefully, he’s okay for the weekend.

Marcos Rojo: 7

Our best defender on the day. The left hand side was left exposed for the few attacks Partizan did have due to Ashley Young. His energy and enthusiasm always has to be commended.

Ashley Young: 6

Young was caught out of position at times as he was repeatedly flying forward. He didn’t really put a foot wrong apart from that and he did do some good things going forward.

Midfield

Scott Mctominay: 6

McTominay showed tonnes of energy as always. The Scotsman picked up a knock which saw him get substituted in the second half. With our midfield options wafer-thin, hopefully, there is nothing in it.

Fred: 6.5

Like McTominay, Fred played with great energy and was excellent at recycling the ball. On the European stage, Fred is definitely a player we can rely on.

Juan Mata: 7

When Juan Mata plays with Martial I believe their link-up is extremely underrated. The subtle touches and flicks on the ball made us look dangerous in the final third. Is that his resurgence? No, but Mata’s performance today was perhaps indicative of his role going forward.

Attack

Mason Greenwood: 7.5

18 years of age, Mason Greenwood definitely took his goal like a player beyond his years. The youngsters’ all-round performance was confident and for the team. I really hope Solskjaer takes more of a chance on him.

Marcus Rashford: 7.5

A similar performance all round to Mason Greenwood. Rashford showed confidence on the ball that he needs to take into league games. His goal on the face of it was a tap in but his movement and left-footed funnies added to the fine array of goals on display.

Anthony Martial: 8

Anthony Martial is our difference maker. His individual brilliance just lifts everyone around him. Martial’s footwork was sensational for our goal, without a doubt, he was my Man of the Match.
