Player Ratings : Norwich City VS Manchester United

David De Gea: 6

De Gea had largely nothing to do the whole game. When called upon with the Todd Cantwell shot he pulled off a classic De Gea save to top the ball over the bar. Perhaps deserved a clean sheet but football works that way sometimes.

Aaron Wan Bissaka: 7

The complete right back performance… without of course getting an assist. Our very own Wan-Bissaka today acted as an outlet going forward and was solid at the back. I personally couldn’t ask for more from him.

Victor Lindelof: 7

Lindelof looked more assured than he has in recent weeks. He looked confident and comfortable when called upon.

Harry Maguire: 7

Maguire, similar to Lindelof, he was rarely put under any pressure.

Ashley Young: 6

Average performance from Ashley Young. He was exploited by the likes of Max Aarons and his game was summed up by the rash tackle on the young English right back.

Scott McTominay: 9

The way McTominay has grown before our very eyes has been exceptional. The Scotsman made that midfield his own and the finish for his goal was sublime.

Fred: 7

Today’s performance vs Norwich was one of the best I’ve seen of Fred throughout his time at United. He played with confidence and looked like a man possessed today. Hopefully, he can keep up the performance level the Brazilian showed today.

Andreas Pereira: 6

Pereira’s performance was one that can be described in a wavelength with peaks and troughs. As a number 10, sometimes the creative impetus is not necessarily on you. With Martial back in the side, I felt some of Pereira’s job was spread into the front 3 and McTominay from deep. By no means a bad performance.

Daniel James: 7

What a bargain Daniel James has proved to be. In every game he has participated he has impacted the game in some shape. Today his assist for Rashford was Beckham-esque. Part of a wonderful front three performance.

Marcus Rashford: 8

Last week I said Marcus Rashford of old returned. How right was I, missed the penalty and moments later was in position to slot away the second. Goal number 50 for Marcus Rashford, here’s to 50 more!

Anthony Martial: 8

Anthony Martial difference-maker. The pure swagger in the link-up play. In this form the young Frenchman is unplayable. The front 3 was electric today.

Substitutes

Mason Greenwood: 6

Jesse Lingard: 6

James Garner: 6
