Tahith Chong a ‘credit’ to Manchester United says Birmingham Boss

Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong has been continually impressive during the early days of his season-long loan at Championship side, Birmingham City. So far, the 21-year-old Dutchman has made five appearances for the Blues, managing to register two assists during this time.
The high-level quality of Chong has certainly not gone unnoticed by many at Birmingham City Football Club, notably including manager Lee Bowyer who has sung the praises of the Manchester United academy loanee, describing him as a ‘credit’ to Manchester United – Specifically referring to his attitude and work-rate on and off the ball.
Tahith Chong has always caught the eye of Manchester United fans and coaches; being touted as a promising attacking prospect who is full of potential. He performed excellently as a part of Manchester United’s under-23s team, providing a dangerous attacking threat and registering numerous goals and assists. Chong is a rapid and diverse attacker who can play across the front-line, which is a characteristic that has benefitted Birmingham in recent weeks as they’ve been able to utilise Chong’s abilities to access his maximum potential.

He was also unable to find a consistent run of form during his two loan spells last year, one with the Belgian champions, Club Brugge and the other at the Bundesliga side, Werder Bremen.
Despite this, Chong seems to have jelled perfectly into Bowyer’s side. This is a fantastic loan move for all parties involved- Particularly, Chong will gain valuable first-team experience in a tough, competitive league. In addition to this, he will provide a great assistance to Birmingham City due to his tenacious work-rate and flowing dribbling ability. Manchester United will also be ecstatic with the progression of Chong so far, as he now has the platform to be able to gain consistent game time and experience at a solid championship side, hopefully prepping him for an eventual return to the Red Devils.
