Tahith Chong Joins Werder Bremen On Loan

Manchester United’s 20-year-old Dutchman, Tatith Chong, is training with Werder Bremen ahead of a 10 month loan deal.

Tahith Chong signed a new deal with United in March, which runs out in June 2020. The winger is an Under 21 international for the Netherlands and signed for United’s academy in 2016.

The Winger made his first team debut in 2018, however he hasn’t managed to secure a regular place in the side and has been used sparingly by Solskjaer. His last appearance for United was in their victory over LASK, when he played out of position, as a left wingback.

Chong typically plays as a right winger and is renowned at youth level for his dribbling skills and explosive running, despite his tall and skinny appearance.

Werder Bremen announced on social media that Chong would be training with them, however they also stated that, ‘the final terms of the move have not yet been agreed’.

The 20-year-old reportedly earns around £20,000 a week at Old Trafford and Bremen are expected to pay all of the weekly wage to secure the Dutchman.

Young players have thrived in the Bundesliga of late and Manchester United fans can hope for more of the same with Chong.
