Transfer Update: David Brooks and Jack Grealish Latest

Bournemouth manager, Jason Tindall, has said that he is not going to stand in the way of any players that want to leave the club.  In other news, former Villa winger, Toney Daley has urged Grealish to stay at Villa if he is in Southgate’s England squad next week.

David Brooks has emerged as one of Manchester United’s main transfer targets in recent weeks and Bournemouth’s new manager, Jason Tindall has said in a press conference that he will not stand in any one’s way that wants to leave the football club. Nathan Ake has already departed from the Cherries and Callum Wilson, Joshua King and David Brooks are all expected to follow suit in the upcoming weeks.

Tindall said, “We as a football club have got a value of what we believe for our players. And if that value is met then players have got the opportunity to then discuss with whoever they need to discuss with and then make the decision they feel is right for them. But first and foremost, it needs to be right for the football club and once it’s right for the football club then, as you’ve seen in the past, I don’t think it’s a club that will stand in anybody’s way providing that the club’s happy with and it meets the valuation of the player.”

Whilst it looks that a deal can be done to sign the Welshman, United are still no closer to signing their other target, Jack Grealish, and former Villa winger, Toney Daley has now urged Grealish to wait and see if he’s in the England squad before making a decision on his future. Daley also stated that Grealish would be ‘better off’ at Villa if he is in Southgate’s squad.

Daley told the Daily Star, “If Jack goes, he’ll have everyone’s blessing here at Villa because of what he’s just done for the club, But if he’s been picked for England already, he might think he’s better off staying with Villa, where he’s settled and plays every week. The Euros are coming up next summer – and Jack needs to be playing to stay in Southgate’s plans.”
